SAN FRANCISCO - Kevin Blatt joined GameLink as the company's director of public relations Monday.

"I am very excited to work for GameLink, who has a great reputation," he said. "I love the fact that they are a leading provider in stores and [video on demand] and that they have a lot of mainstream technologies that I can help apply in different areas of the marketplace. I'm going to also be assisting them with the facilitation of deals and marketing ideas."

GameLink President Ilan stated, "We are really happy to have KB on board, he brings with him years of industry experience, many contacts, and a deep understanding of the business."

On his second day in the new position, Blatt said, he received two sex tapes that were said to feature celebrities. While he said Tuesday that he was still evaluating the tapes for validity, he told AVN Online that one of the tapes was produced by a man in Hawaii and features a "popular singer who lost her kids."

"We hope to be making this guy an offer and include it in our VOD or sell it to the singer," Blatt said. "First, we need to make sure the tape exists."

Before going to work for GameLink, Blatt was Pure Vanilla's vice president of sales and did publicity work for the company.

Blatt left his position with Pure Vanilla when the anonymous-payment service provider reported on Aug. 30 that customers had violated its merchant agreement. As the company began an investigation and refused to accept new clients or process re-bills using credit cards, Blatt began searching for a new job that offered stability.

"When looking at the future of business following the whole Pure Vanilla debacle, I wondered what the future is," he said. "The future is video on demand."

Blatt will be based in Chatsworth and visit GameLink's San Francisco offices each month. He said he is excited about GameLink's new projects, including Adam and Eve, a VOD exclusive for EON.

"I am just showing the adult studios the potential of their content," Blatt said. "Hopefully, I will be getting them situated with a VOD platform that makes sense."

Blatt will appear on "The Montel Williams Show" within the next two weeks to discuss GameLink, celebrity sex tapes and American Cannibal, a film in which he starred.
